Learn German with Seedlang 4+

Excellent but not for absolute beginners

This app is very well designed with a very clean, modern presentation. I started learning German with Duolingo which (at least as a desktop site) is free to use: I feel that it gives a good groundwork but it is highly repetitive and the lessons can become tiring. Still, I don't think that I could even have started Seedlang without it because Seedlang seems to assume a certain degree of basic familiarity. What it does do very well is focus you back on your own pronunciation, by recording your answers. It also uses a flashcard system, which will suit some learners better than other systems

I like Seedlang a lot but it drops some heavy hints that you should subscribe to the app by gating even very early material. I do think that language training is worth paying for and I may well subscribe but the pricing is somewhat discouraging. Nevertheless, the design of the app is such that I'm happy to give it 5* right now.

Enjoyable and accessible to all levels

This app is amazing for any level of German, if you are beginner or advanced! I have been following these creators and using their resources for 5 or so years and my German skills have improved so much through their resources and I am super happy they have decided to make an app! Don’t expect that you can learn a language from this app alone though, as to do so requires a lot of dedication but there is no denying that since I started using seedlang on desktop it has really accelerated my learning, particularly in tidying up my grammar and expanding my vocab! To have it on mobile now makes it so much easier to use when I am out and about! I really would recommend this app!!! 😊

Awesome!

One of the best language teaching apps I‘ve found and I‘ve tried a lot. It is tailored to your level and actually teaches you gramnar rules! Yay! You can start from foundation level or from A2, B1 etc. You can also create your own review decks to practise certain words, articles etc. Cari is very personable and clearly loves teaching German. I also follow her channel Easy German. She and her hubby Janusz do some episodes where they talk extremely slowly in German. Some are much more complex but there is something for every level. Highly recommend both Seedlang and Easy German
