Interesting to learn basic communication words

Interesting way of learning the Arabic language by association. Words and images are always correlated and this helps different types of memories to approach the language in their own way.

I like the variety of exercises and the fact there is not a predicted sequence of those. This challenges my brain in a nicer way.

I find the app helpful not to learn the language properly, but to help me in a “primitive” communication with my paediatric patient: with children only basic words are needed to make sure the essential needs are supported.
At the moment I don’t have time to follow a full language course, therefore I thank this app to help me knowing the basic words to support me in my daily life in the intensive care. This enables me in providing my patients a basic feeling of being understood in their moment of being at the hospital and being vulnerable.

A bit fast

Excellent playful way to learn vocabulary. You won’t learn Arabic script though. Each word comes up with the Arabic script version , and also a romanised/Latin alphabet version which is very useful for pronunciation so big tick for that. However unless you already know some Arabic script the Arabic version is pretty pointless as the characters won’t make sense and they come and go much too fast to even look at for more than a second.
I have learnt a little of the Arabic script from DuoLingo so that helps , but I think if I hadn’t I woukd feel frustrated by this aspect of Drops…
I think that’s ok as long as you bear in mind the aim of the app is learning the words not teaching you the alphabet and how to read Arabic.
One big frustration is that everything changes SOOOOO fast and you barely have time to take in the word and the fact you got it right and it has vanished instantly from the screen and another word has popped up super fast. If you get it right no sooner have you hit your answer then it vanishes. It woukd be nice to have a chance to look at the word and make a memory association with the picture. I find the pace feels a bit frenetic and stressy.
Overall though nice concept and will complement other language apps well.

Really helpful

I really like the application how they have the different memorising games to remember the vocabulary. It makes a very boring aspect of language learning fun and addictive however I feel like I was given too many words to learn too quickly. I think there should be an option to stop learning new vocabulary for a while because it was too much for me to take in. I also think there should be an option to have the Arabic script only as I couldn’t myself looking at the word written in the Latin alphabet when I wanted to practice using the Arabic script more. Other than that, a fabulous idea!!
