Description

Practice program for i.v. and i.a. application of iodine-containing contrast agents.

Intravenous or intra-arterial application of iodine-containing contrast agents may result in various side effects, including renal function impairment, allergic reactions, and hyperthyroidism. Taking into account the various risk factors, individual prophylaxis regimens can be established for each patient. The CM-Helper is intended as a training program to help patients practice the use of iodine-containing contrast media so that they can later identify high-risk patients in clinical routine in good time and, if necessary, initiate suitable corrective or protective measures.
