Love it..
Really enjoyed using this app. Especially with my nursery school leavers. Lots of complaints about software issues on these reviews.. However I never had any? I hope this doesn’t start happening.
Would like to purchase the whole app but at £9 not sure it is really worth that much. Maybe £4-£5 tops.
Repetitive
My son has extremely limited access to my phone as I’m trying to resist letting him engage with too many apps and games as he is only just turned 5. I paid for this app and it’s partner jolly phonics games, as I though at entry level screen time it might be fun and also as a bonus educational - however - it is so bloody boring! Seriously. He is doing fairly well at school and understands some basic phonemes so it wasn’t due to lack of understanding. The platform is just so incredibly repetitive and there is no real engagement or reward or excitement. I think he would rather I wrote some words on the back of a wooden spoon and waved it about. He would probably rather do anything, and that says a lot as he is so eager to see what phones and games are all about. Looking for alternatives.
Does not work with family sharing
Brought this app on my iPhone thinking my daughter would be able to access the additional paid for part on her iPad via family sharing, nope, doesn’t work.
Googled this and I think it is down to the development of the app as to weather this function can work or not. Contacted support, after going through the obvious steps they said they would pass to their dev team to investigate, a month later no response so I asked for a refund, got told I had to contact apple but the purchase doesn’t show up in the short list of recent apps that I had purchased, maybe that month of waiting was tactical?
So, for my daughter to learn phonics, I’ve had to pay for the app again! £20 I have paid for this app! I’m sure there are better ones out there but this is what my daughter uses at school and is most familiar with.
