This app supports Audio Unit, Inter-App Audio and Audiobus for audio & MIDI connections from/to other audio apps, as well as Bluetooth LE MIDI !
iSymphonic Orchestra was designed with the goal to deliver you superb, extremely realistic and stunning orchestra sounds, instantly with the first key being pressed by you on your MIDI keyboard. Just select a sound and you are ready for your live performance or for a boost of creativity while composing new songs. The sounds used in this app were explicitly recorded to fulfill these requirements and involved several months of recording and post processing under supervision of Kurt Ader and included a variety of innovative, new recording techniques. So far these sounds were only available to very few, famous movie composers. Now they are finally available for the first time to everybody. The supreme quality of these sounds, combined with the unique way they were recorded and assembled, gives us confidence that you haven't heard anything comparable as of to date, even not on Mac or PC.

Ratings and Reviews
gets expensive as you add instruments
This is a great sounding base for orchestral sounds. However, the sounds that would be useful for lush orchestral movements are spread over various packs. This is unnecessary greed and a little devious. It forces users to have to purchase more packs than needed just to get, for example and extra piano/strings sound layer.
I fell into this trap. This app can work out fairly expensive unfortunately, considering most musicians (Me included) do not have vast funds.
If I started buying all the packs I’d like to have, I think by the end of it, my wife would be filing for divorce, even though it’s MY salary that pays for everything from the mortgage to feeding the children.
A great experience ruined by the accumulative costs.
Excellent!

This App has taken some heavy flak regarding lack of AU functionality - and to be fair, it’s a bit harsh. The Dev has continued to address issues over the last 18 months, to the point where this has become a welcome addition to my AU arsenal for GarageBand. A lot of work has gone into making this almost indistinguishable from the original package, and it is pretty polished and certainly very useable now - a welcome addition, both as a standalone ‘sketch pad’ for finding chord progressions - accessible via third party MIDI chord progression apps and recordable within as it includes a basic MIDI recorder and export function. Having purchased several expansions to the App, I can honestly, and confidently, recommend this for use now - it’s stable, it sounds great (in all fairness it always has on its own) but now with the added effects section applied to the AUv3 side, I’m loving it! Thank you to the Developer for sticking with it and continuing to improve it despite some harsh, and at times undeserved criticism - it’s been worth the wait and the hard work - deserves to be a 4-star App at least.
Developer Response ,
Nigel, feedback for improvements are always appreciated, but using offending accusations like "thief" and "deceiver" go far beyond that.
Like mentioned on other channels, adding features to the AU side is current development focus. The feature set of the AU plugin was originally released with a reduced feature set in comparison to the stand-alone app until the AUv3 framework stabilised, which now is considered to be the case. We can now run dozens of AU tracks with recent versions of our apps, iOS and various common AU host apps without any issues, hence the decision to start adding features on AU side as well.
About the claim that we just tweaked delay or EQ or effect settings to obfuscate and deploy a large amount of presets: sorry, but that is simply not true. We do have layered sounds, yes, but that is not an exclusive feature of this app, it applies to most other orchestra libraries as well.
About the issue you encountered: we do not have received a single bug report about corrupted save files. If you have found a new bug here, then you are invited to contact our support and provide the required information for us to reproduce and fix this issue. The App Store feedback mechanism is not the adequate method to deal with support inquiries.
Poor Customer Support and Faulty sections!
Purchased this app with high expectations..however I have found that there are some annoying and unwanted artefacts in some of the sections and particularly in the Cello/Woodwind section where an incredibly annoying reverberation occurs when holding on the note C4 and a couple of notes after...disappearing then reappearing again on C5. This reverberation is even more noticeable, profound and annoying when the app is played through either of my midi keyboards! I contacted Crudebyte to see if they were able to offer a possible resolution for this and all I appear to have got from them was ready made excuses and no positive help or assistance whatsoever, other than an offer to refund which is something I suppose. I sent them a video recording highlighting this artefact while being played, however they replied claiming that any and all artefacts annoying or not are purposely built into the system and this reverberation is in fact 'not reverberation' in their opinion and everything is operating as it should, which is blatantly not the case and a gaslighting effort on their part to indicate that I cannot in fact hear what I obviously can hear! Not too happy with it or them!
