Description

See the Earth as the astronauts see it with a 24/7 video livestream from the International Space Station.

If you like space or astronomy then you will love ISS Live Now.

ISS Live Now gives you easy access to a live video feed of Earth from the International Space Station, which is orbiting about 400 kilometers (250 miles) above the planet. The app provides an exciting experience marked by a thoughtful design.

With ISS Live Now, you can view interesting live video streams directly from the International Space Station’s cameras.

The app utilizes the native Google Map (ISS tracker), which allows you to follow the Space Station’s orbit around our planet. You can zoom, rotate, drag and tilt the map;.

You will have these different sources of live video streaming, including:
1. Live HD Camera: Provides a high-resolution live view of Earth captured by EHDC cameras aboard the ISS.
2. Live standard camera: It shows a live stream of the Earth and, from time to time, details about the ISS (like tests, maintenance and communication with Earth).
3. NASA TV: The television service of the United States government agency NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration). You can watch science and space documentaries, interview with scientists, astronauts, engineers and personalities such as Elon Musk.
4. NASA TV Media.
5. Spacewalk (recorded): Beautiful HD images of astronauts from cameras outside the ISS.
6. Inside the International Space Station: Take a video tour of each module inside the ISS, all explained by the astronauts.
7. Eventual channel: Temporary live cameras from NASA, the European Space Agency (ESA), the Russian Space Agency (Roscosmos) and the SpaceX.
8. Launchpad Cameras: Enjoy 24/7 live streaming from launchpads located in various destinations.
9. ESA: Experience exclusive content with live feeds from the European Space Agency (ESA), offering a unique perspective on space exploration and scientific endeavors.

You even have the option to be notified when the next sunset or sunrise will occur, allowing you to watch it live directly from the International Space Station.

Note:
When the ISS (International Space Station) is on the night side of Earth, the video image is black, which is normal.

Sometimes, video is not available due to transmission issues, or because the crew is changing cameras. In such cases, you will usually have a blue or blank screen. In a few minutes the transmission should return, so, please be patient. This is not a problem with the app.

So cool but so frustrating

I just found this and would have this playing on a full screen all day long as when it’s good it’s so good. However currently the second camera which was looking at a earth horizon view seems to be looking out into space which isn’t too exciting but maybe it’s for operational needs. All the same very cool stuff. Please can we have more live cameras please. ☺️🦋

ISS HD Live not working with ios 11.0.3

It’s no good, I’ve had no end of problems with this app. No matter how many times I delete and reinstall it onto my iPad it just won’t work. When it worked I had 2 camera options and NASA TV but now it’s stuck on one camera view. There is no indication if it is the hi-def camera or not. I don’t even see the options come up any more when I tap the screen. It’s a shame because when this app works it’s quite good and well worth having.

Developer response says I can change the channel using three stripes icon in upper left corner of screen. I do not see this icon. I open the app and the hi def camera view comes on. It is stuck on this page permanently. There are no icons showing anywhere. Only the sunrise or sunset time at the top. I’m totally baffled. It used to work when all one had to do was tap the screen to reveal the options. Can’t get the other camera option or NASA TV. I’ve been using this app on my iPad for over 2 years
but getting fed up now.

Sorry, problem was at my end. Somehow my screen rotation had become locked so wasn’t getting the menu icon or map showing ISS position. Unlocked my screen rotation and all is well. However, I still liked the convenience of tapping the screen to reveal the camera and nasa tv options as in the previous version, rather than having to rotate my iPad to tap on the menu. Can’t we have options menu no matter which way we have our screens oriented?

Developer Response ,

Hello!

You can access the three stripes icon in the upper left of the screen and change the channel.
