Ireland 100 is an app designed to engage adults and young people over the age of 10, with maths.

Ireland 100 is an app designed to engage adults and young people over the age of 10, with maths.

If you are in school, at work or at home, are interested in maths or would just like to know a little more about the island of Ireland, then this app is for you.

Ireland 100 uses a tile collection reward system. The User answers some maths questions which, when answered correctly, reveal an image and information about different locations in Ireland. The User collects these locations, which are then saved by category, for example: natural wonders; castles; islands etc.

As the User progresses through the app, he/she becomes more familiar with the question types and maths content, while all the time building his/her collection of Irish landmarks and locations.

On completing the app, the User will have answered 800 maths questions correctly and collected 100 tiles, celebrating 100 locations to be found on the island of Ireland.

Ultimately, the app is designed to positively engage the User with maths, reward success and provide some cross-curricular insight into the landscape, geography and history of our beautiful country.

Ireland 100 will be of great benefit to children making the transition from primary to post primary school as the content is most relevant to the mathematics used in school at this age. It’s use also provides an ideal opportunity for children and adults to discuss maths at home.

When the User completes the app, he/she will be well versed in maths topics that typically challenge both adults and young people alike.
