Description
iPlayingCards (Lite) Version 3.4
– A 'virtual' deck of cards for the iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. (NOTE: Use this App to play card games with other people - just like a 'real' deck; but it is NOT a 'game-playing' program.) Play cards on one or multiple devices (using Game Center, Local WiFi or Bluetooth - Bluetooth works on airplanes). Cards move with the touch of a finger. When playing with a shared device, use four hidden hands – a hand become visible only when the device is tilted on its side facing that direction. When playing with multiple devices, each device can display a different hand. Many features – shuffling, dealing, cutting, flipping, sorting, etc.. Eight classic decks for playing games such as Poker, Sixty-Six, Piquet, Belote, Jass, Durak, Scopa, Mus, Five Hundred, Pinochle, Bezique or Canasta. Fast set-up of 21 different games (including those and Black Jack, Bridge, Crazy Eights, Gin, Go Fish, Hearts, Oh Hell!, Rummy and War).
In this Lite Version, the deck can be automatically shuffled into only six predetermined random decks. An In-App Purchase upgrade, available for a small fee from the iTunes App Store, has unlimited random shuffling. (Manual rearranging of the cards in this Lite Version is possible for those unable to purchase the full version.)
Many features:
Connect multiple iPhones, iPads or iPod touches together using Game Center (anywhere on Earth) or Local WiFi or Bluetooth (within 30 feet).

2)Bridge – South bid 5 Diamonds, West played the Ace of Spades, North is Dummy and South is now playing the 8 of Spades. South will make 5 Diamonds if the King of Hearts finesse is on.

4)Same Texas hold ‘em but on second, Bluetooth-connected device tilted to face player East – two pair awaiting the river card. Card backing from second device's Photo Album.

Ratings and Reviews
Neat idea decent app
This is a decent app considering size limitations of the iPod screen. Can be a bit fiddly to use for that reason. Would work well on an iPad because of the larger size. You need to set the dealing to work for your particular game. You 'slot' cards into a bar at the bottom of the screen for them to be invisible to others; otherwise the cards are on the table. A neat idea and it works! When iPod is flat your hand disappears from view.
Drawback of pass and play is that only one person at a time can see their hand. Bluetooth on the paid version would work better.
Delightful!
I love this app because it allows me to play patience cards games without the need for real cards and space to accommodate them, which is not always convenient. It is that much closer to actually handling playing cards than the usual card simulations where the software does it all for you. The controls take a bit of getting used to but, with some practice, they don't really present a problem. Also, I would have thought that this app would be handy when you are trying to learn a new card game and need a deck of cards to follow the text from a book and the need to randomly move cards about (something you cannot normally do with dedicated card apps). Very useful also when you are on the move, perhaps in a train, and have your iPad with you and feel like playing a patience game to kill time (saves having to download another app). I cannot comment on online play since I have not used that facility yet, however, for my purposes at least, it is a very clever and useful bit of software. I highly recommend this app.
Great card App
I downloaded this App, to see if it would do what I was after.... to be able to turn over a card at a time off a deck of playing cards (without the need for the pack!!)
It looked as if it would allow this but I could not see how. So, I emailed the author for help.
He replied, very quickly, showing me how to configure it.... Hey Presto, it now does just what I am after and I am using it for a couple of different games with the kids, great!!
So, top marks for the App - and 6 out of 5 for the really great help & support.
