Not fit for purpose

Terrible app. Absolutely infuriating that it is the only option I have for letting people into my building. It doesn't work more than half the time and I end up having to go and manually let people in. Also many delivery people get confused by the interface on the door unit so you end up receiving calls for your neighbours. It's just super super glitchy and most of the time the "video entry call" comes through as a regular phone call, of which you can do absolutely nothing with and have to ask the person waiting outside to keep calling back until it finally comes through as video (because you can't answer the door unless a call is made from outside first. There is no simple "open door" option on the app). Aside from its poor UX, the app also has a terrible interface that looks like something from the 90's.
Honestly really terrible, far from a luxury or modern experience, and I'm so glad to be moving to a new apartment building soon with a working entry system.

No intercom for 2 weeks+

The Woodberry Down/Berkeley Development now hasn’t had a working intercom for over two weeks.

No idea when we’ll have a working intercom again.

Why? Because no engineer will come out to fix any issues because of invoice discrepancies.

Why are there invoice discrepancies you wonder? Because there’s too many paid engineer call outs to fix the issues of an intercom system that should have never gone out of Beta testing. It’s not fit for purpose.

Is that the real revenue model here? Sell it to a company like Berkeley who doesn’t do due diligence but wants to the cheapest vendors in the market. (Yes, they claim they build luxury development but you need to take a closer look at the plumbing, ventilation system, INTERCOM…)

Anyway, IPguard/NACD revenue model: Install a system that constantly breaks, install it cheaply, and then make continuous revenue by charging for all the repairs constantly needed?

Edit: by the way - I have emailed support just as they said back in December when I gave a 1 star review pointing out everything that’s wrong with the system. Guess what: No one replied.

UPDATE: Apologies for the delay in the response, but I can see your email & a response was made. In addition, I can see that the panel is now online. IF you require any future assistance please reach out to your installer directly. In this case, it is NACD. Thanks, Support Team

The result of B2B interactions.

This app is the result of allowing large development companies to cut every conceivable corner.

If this was an app paid for by the end user it would have gone out of business years ago. Unfortunately its revenue streams come from big businesses who absolutely couldn’t care less whether it works, as people typically don’t choose where to live based on the intercom system present.

In summary: A buggy, complicated, & overbearing (with regards to the permissions requested) mess of an app which inconsistently serves its basic functionality.
