The Insta360 ONE X app – A full editing room to accompany your ONE X. All in your pocket.
With our app, you don’t have to point your camera anymore. The ONE X shoots in every direction at once, then you choose the best parts of your shot and create cinematic edits with the app. Try dropping points throughout your clip in the editing interface. The camera will follow along, panning smoothly to wherever you want.
Adjust the speed of different parts of a clip on a whim with TimeShift. Highlight key moments with cinematic slow-mo, or speed things up to suit the rhythm of the scene – the app always keeps playback smooth.
Connect to the ONE X to preview and control your shots. When you’re ready to transfer footage back to your phone for editing and sharing, you can quickly send it back over WiFi or connect directly with a data transfer cable.
With accessories, you can capture impossible angles by literally throwing your camera with the Drifter. Or, you can get amazing slow-mo shots with the bullet-time bundle.

Does the job
Works with the camera, which is what it needs to do. I could do without the constant bombardment of offers and deals every time I run it, though.
Disappointed that “Sign in with Apple” doesn’t work correctly, wanted me to enter another email address after. Huh?
Tip: If you’ve ever wondered why its battery drains even on standby, it seems the camera is always listening for a connection from the app... you don’t need to turn it on to connect.
Major stability improvements
This app is a huge step up to past versions. I was worried about being able to successfully edit my videos without crashing. I tried this back in November with an earlier version and I was greeted with crash after crash.
Now, this version of the app has left me with 0 crashes and a whole lot of time to edit my videos without worrying. The average video length is around 2 minutes, but after successful trials I’m not worried about editing 10 minute videos.
New features are being added every month, and the editing software means it’s very easy for users with no experience to make top class amendments to their footage.
If you’re worried about editing stability, that is no longer an issue from my experience. Keep in mind that I edit on an iPhone 8.
Does some strange things
Had it crash a few times when trying to use follow mode and also when trying to apply a a speed incr to do a hyperlapse the speed doesn't always apply where you want it. The only way round it is to put slow segments in between the fast ones.
