Description

Indigo Touch is an iPhone and iPad optimized App for remotely controlling lighting, appliances, HVAC, ceiling fans, sprinklers, etc., from anywhere in the world. It will automatically connect to the required Indigo Smart Home Hub software (v7 or newer), installed in your home on a Mac, to communicate with Z-Wave, INSTEON and/or X10 compatible hardware. Additionally, many more devices and protocols are supported via 3rd Party Plugins. Now you can adjust your home's thermostat, run the sprinkler, open the garage door, unlock the front door, and turn off the lights from anywhere you have an internet/data connection!

IMPORTANT
Controlling your home requires that you have installed the Indigo Smart Home Hub software on your Mac. Indigo is NOT FREE, although there is a 30 day free trial available. See MAC REQUIREMENTS below for more details.

The best Z-Wave solution

I’ve tried or bought most of the home automation hubs and systems over the years. X10 ByeByeStandby etc etc but Z-Wave has been by far the best. Hubs vary though and after Vera 3, Fibaro etc I tried Indigo and never look looked back.

If you have a Mac it’s a no brainier choice. I’d go as far to say if you don’t it’s worth buying a second hand one to run this.

Good but needs updates

I’ve been using Indigo home automation for many years now and it is by far the most flexible solution. On the market. There is practically nothing you can’t do with it if you have the time and knowledge required.

The one thing I would say is that that Indigo touch could do with updates. It has been over three years since the last one and that simply does not give a good feeling of further development as well as providing value for the solution overall. It certainly isn’t cheap.

Having said that it is a good product.

I Enjoy Using Indigo

After wasting my time with smartthings controller, I took a trial of Indigo and HS3. I immediately fell in love with Indigo. I have been using this iPhone app to go with my server ever since. It does appear to drain my iPhone battery quicker! I am not complaining though, because everything JUST WORKS. Those are the magic words. I spend less time fiddling with the app or the Mac server software and I instead enjoy the benefits of a fully automated home. Indigo integrates with Alexa really well. This iPhone app is really nifty giving overall control quite well. Highly recommended for upmarket, no nonsense, proper home automation that is reliable day after day.
