Sadly now it finally lets me control my washing machine again after months of not working it’s removed the consumption cost witch was the reason I purchased this to control how much it costed to use very anoyed

Bought machine for marketed WiFi connectivity and the app has never worked. The machine became the Hell of A Thousand Faults after a year anyway. The app never stores Favourites, the machine constantly disconnects from WiFi or forgets the connection entirely, the app doesn't even store your washing machine details and adding it back to the app again and again is tiresome. You can use the machine without the app of course, but you paid a premium for that ability or could have saved money buying a traditional washing machine.

I'll never buy Hotpoint products again after this. What happened? It used to be a well-regarded brand with superior products. Don't expect this app to be anything other than a useless frustration the developers and company should be ashamed of. No evidence they care, no hope they'll fix it by making a new app from scratch.

I purchased a hotpoint specifically for the ability to control the machine via the app and have the ability to create “favourite” cycles based on the features listed on the hotpoint website. The scheduler functionality on the app doesn’t work, and any favourite cycles created on the app do not sync over to the machine, making the app completely useless.

An engineer and multiple hotpoint customer service advisers have confirmed that these are known limitations with the app, despite how the “connectivity” is marketed on the appliance webpage.

Do not bother downloading this app, it’s a waste of time. I wouldn’t ever recommend hotpoint products to anyone based on the awful customer service I’ve had from this company.
