“Homecam is essential for HomeKit cameras like the and — not just for viewing playback on multiple streams at the same time...” - 9to5Mac.
• Data Layers
Bring a camera into full screen mode and you can view layers of data from surrounding HomeKit accessories such as temperature, humidity and air quality. And with HomeCam 2, you can now choose which accessories to use for this data.
• Room Control
With the improved HomeKit controls, HomeCam 2 enables you to control surrounding accessories in the same room as your camera. Change the room's lighting, adjust your thermostat and more.
• Live View
With HomeCam, you can view all your HomeKit cameras live on one screen, not snapshots that lag behind the reality of what your cameras are seeing.
• Single Camera View
Bring a camera into full screen mode and you can use the speaker and microphone of the camera to communicate to others. Zoom in to see your camera's viewport closer up.
• Secure HomeCam with a Passcode

Ratings and Reviews
Works well
I purchased this for the Apple TV support, and this works very well. Although the layout on the TV seems a bit restricted. I have 3 circle2 cams that when viewed on the TV they all line up in a horizontal row that means small previews and wasted screen space. To have the layout auto adjust to use more screen space and bigger previews depending on the amount of cams would make this app near perfect. Even the ability to manually change the layout would be good.
On the phone the app works well. Sometimes not all cams display a ‘live’ view, but that’s probably down to my network and not the app, but at times the preview says it’s not live (2h ago) when the actual feed is in fact live which can a bit confusing.
The watch app works as expected, maybe a little slow to connect but that’s probably the cams fault, not the app.
All in all a good app and worth the money.
Developer Response ,
Hi,
Thanks for the kind review.
I’d love for you to reach out to me via support and describe the layout solution that would help you if you are willing?

Better than HomeKit for Cameras
Honestly an amazing app. I would like to see some watch complications, but I can’t be picky otherwise so it’s still a solid 5 stars from me.
It loads faster than HomeKit even though it loads multiple streams, brings them all live at once, lets them mute/unmute accordingly.
It also shows way more detail including the temperature and humidity of the rooms the cameras are in (where applicable) meaning I don’t have to back out of the camera and up to the top like I do in the official Home app to see if the temperature is ok in my sons room.
In terms of improvement, I would love to see the temperatures on the main multi feed when opening the app without having to go into an individual feed, maybe in the lower left corner (or configurable would be even better).
Watch complications as mentioned before for quick access and also modern widgets (I’m aware they won’t be as useful as the old one in terms of being able to show live streams) that simply allow quick access to individual cameras would also be fantastic to multiple camera users like myself!
Slow Widget
Bought it mainly to be able to have a quick glance of the video feed through the widget, but it takes forever to connect...
Changed the video quality to 720, as advised, but in the same location, with good WiFi speeds, opening the Logi Circle app gives me the live video feed within a few seconds, while doing it through the widget can take up to a minute to connect!! This defeats the purpose for which I bought the app...
If the developer can contact me to try and fix this issue, I’d be very grateful. Otherwise, might have to request a refund.
Developer Response ,
Hi, as a developer I cannot contact you beyond this response, you will need to reach out via the support email in app.
Sadly the connection speed is out of my control and can depend on many variables such as network speed, device speed, the camera itself. Logitech’s own app loads quickly because they hold a stream open to your device always to record on their servers. Then means they can show it quickly. As HomeCam is connecting directly to your camera, your camera has to spin up a new stream and send it which can take some time.
Feel free to email me and I’m happy to discuss more.
