Historic Houses 4+

I’ve been a member of historic houses for many years and have always found the app very useful for finding a house to visit when you are on the go. Now, the app only shows my membership number, which is worse than useless because it doesn’t show my husband’s or my daughter’s membership number. Who thought that just showing the lead member’s number would be useful? Because it obviously isn’t as we have to take their own cards with us anyway. I have now deleted the app and resorted to taking all three cards with me plus the membership book plus the map. With all this technology available, I would’ve thought that you might’ve come up with a useful app. I have just renewed my membership and now have a different membership number, but there is no way of amending the membership number, so what I originally thought was a useless app has now become worse than useless.

If you are an organisation that allows the public access to visit many beautiful stately homes and castles across Britain for an annual fee, and you have an app that allows people to search for the nearest property to where they happen to be “on the go”, why in God’s name would you get rid of that and replace it with one what lets you electronically display your membership card instead??
Why is displaying your membership card not just a new tab within the old app anyway? We had to have a separate app for that?
Now instead of just carrying my membership card in my wallet, I have to take the paper map and handbook out with me! Progress? I think not.
Come on HH and developers - sort it out and do it quick! Or at least allow us to download the old ‘useful app’ instead!

I downloaded without reading fully (my bad!) with the aim to search for properties in my area and avoid the need for web browser use.
Although this is a trial app for membership, why on earth is there no function to search all the wonderful houses and castles available through your website.
Come on Developers and HH this is a big oversight for new and existing members and missing out where others succeed with such apps. I do hope you feel the need for your members (and non members) to have access to a searchable app to view your available properties.
