Life changing Thank you
This app has changed my life, brought me closer to God and been a huge support through a deeply testing time of grief of the death of family & loved ones, personal loss & financial ruin and it's strengthening my faith. It costs about £5 a month (the price of a coffee or cake treat and I know which I'd rather have!!) My business recently collapsed and I’m struggling for cash when I started the free trial but I can honestly say I was relieved by the affordable subscription cost at the end AND it's going to good works whilst saving our souls - win/win!! and so I subscribed with much gratitude in my heart. I have never found such a comprehensive app in my life from music, to meditation, prayers, education, daily mass to spiritual courses it's a scriptual life saver. Fr Mike, Fr Frankie Cisero & Sr Bernice amongst others have made a huge impact on my daily life and I discovered Jonathon Roumie and The Chosen here too! Mind blowing. With God in my pocket everywhere I go now thanks to Hallow I feel safe in my spiritual life & it's impacting my physical life & mental health positively aswell as my child & family!! Cannot recommend this app enough!
Hallow, without a shadow of a doubt is the reason I found the Church and converted. It doubles up as a prayer app and a mindfulness app too! Well worth the subscription for all the content and community challenges. Also I can access Bible in a Year and will be able to access the Catechism in a Year (starting Jan ‘23).
The prayer goal and tracker helps me to stay accountable for making prayer time throughout my day. The praylists help me to focus and have devotional content for most settings including during adoration and making a holy hour.
I cannot recommend this app enough!
Amazing if irritating
This app is great, but it could do with some refreshing of its content. Jim Caviezel’s voice as Jesus, for me, ruins the essence of the Reading. I don’t want to listen to a forced Aramaic accent, it’s really off-putting, and I have tried now for over six months. Please just have the gospels read normally and let the listener ‘tune-in’ as they want to. Similarly, I wish there were a better selection or a change of reader for Daily Reflections, as Jeff Cavins’ is turning more into a celebrity daily ‘show’ than giving the listener insight into gospel readings of the day. It begins with a mention of the reading, which then goes massively off-course onto a personal story of his life or a completely different reading. It’s confusing and annoying. Celebrity, ego, and pride that come across strong throughout this show and the daily video, fly in the face of Jesus’ teachings. Changing these two elements would enhance the app hugely. Please evolve/revolve/refresh your people/content, without radically changing things. The best part of this app is the Daily Exegesis, which is excellent.
