Guitar Tuner - Simply Tune 4+

I am useless, but this App gives me actual hope

Well, am afraid I am a complete beginner at the guitar playing at 45. So, please take this with conversation tone.
So when I installed the app, I was surprised of what you get for nothing, a lot more than some apps. So far I am learning by ear and by this simple app. If your new and want to try, try this, cost nothing.

tuner problem

I thought I would try this app out because my built in tuner had ran out of battery and I didn’t have any spare. It is fair to say that it’s a good app, however when I was tuning the ‘e’ string it kept saying it was too low and although I was tuning higher it kept saying too low, got to the point of my e string actually snapping…This is a new guitar and sadly I will have to get it fixed after only a few days of having it. I’m not blaming the app but I do think there’s some form of malfunction or update it needs to the tuner feature on this app as clearly something isn’t right. I am deeply frustrated with this app and myself. Please fix this problem.

We want the tuning experience to be perfect for our users, and are continuously working to make improvements (we actually just filmed a new video to address this, which will be released soon, stay tuned!).

For some additional context, there are many variables which can effect the tuning experience - a background noise for example can interfere with the guitar sound when it is too loud. Our goal is to fully isolate these sounds and get you tuned as fast as possible.

Don’t use to tune your guitar.

I downloaded this app to use as a guitar tuner, yet I have seldom seen a more useless tuner.
Half of the time it barely picks up the notes I’m playing, giving me to indication whether my string is too high or too flat. This is however an issue I could deal with as it did work sometimes.
My last straw with this app was today when I was tuning my guitar, somewhat successfully, when I got to the (notorious) high e string. The app kept telling me I was too flat, the little red bar was all the way to the left, so I keep tuning my string higher, wondering how it was so flat when it sounded so definitely sharp and was far higher than I remembered, but decided to trust the app, as it knows better than I do (so I thought). Then the string snapped.
I am furious and now need to purchase new strings because of this.

SUMMARY:
•App barely works/picks up the sound
•App picks up sound wrong
•Lead to me snapping a string

I do NOT recommend this app.
