Early doubts turned into hours of play
I honestly can’t put my finger on it but I love this game.
Is it deep? Not really
Is it anything new? Nope
But that aside where many games of this type have failed, I am plugging on determined to win. The first few levels are monumentally dull, until you start finding skills to learn, then it starts to improve dramatically.
The 4th wall dialogue is cheesy, but sometimes surprises you with ‘gamer’ Easter eggs that really make you chuckle (snaaaaake)
Wall to wall battles, crafting that is nothing special, but like chicken vol-au-vents.. chicken -ok, white sauce, ok, pastry ok.. but put em together and you have a tasty treat. Gladiator Rising 2 is the vol-au-vent of retro simplicity. To really enjoy, throw some money at gems (lowest amount will do) and get rid of those ads which ruin the fun.
Some ideas
It’s a good game but try to add more money for winning fights and like a book or something that would have like fight at the Mountain region for a better chance at iron or copper and how to get some weapons like the General’s sword and axes like how to get them and where to fight to get a chance of getting them as rewards for winning fight and maybe have it so you can buy 2 other people to fight with on your team for like 3000 each.
Hidden gem
Such a simple yet enjoyable game the very definition of a hidden gem, highly recommend everyone at least give this game a go you wont regret it
