Great, but…

I don’t want to give it any less than five stars because it reduces things that end up on landfills, however the app requires a few changes. For one, there should be the ability to sort items. I know that all items are free so you can’t exactly sort by price or by ‘%’ discount. Even still, you should be able to set sorting to ‘random’, ‘distance’, ‘date uploaded’, ‘relevance’… and maybe also do the opposite (e.g. for ‘distance’, clicking once shows the nearest items whereas clicking twice shows the furthest within your specified range (e.g. 10 miles)).
Then there’s the lack or removing posts that are no longer available (some listings show that they’ve been on the app for more than two years but the item is no longer available. It’s cool that we’re able to see what was available but there should at least be a tag on the item to show that it’s expired/sold/no longer available).
I’m still grateful that this app exists and would take it as is rather than it not exist at all as it is still quite functional even without the points made above. The app works well outside of these minor issues that I have. Great work!

Freegle Mania

Freegle is an excellent tool to help people with their secondary needs as the items appear by lots a day and frequently yet there is little to pick out of favourite brands or popular products. If you’re interested in learning more about this topic and want to organise your own research likewise organise all your Family and Friends and all contacts with potential candidates for second loved home than you just found yourself a best friend:: FREEGLEMANIA I will call it… you might need to travel a little further than you thought but you can get all sorts of good advice from people who are familiar with Freegle… Enjoy and remember: “The World Your Oyster”…. ;)

Items Always Gone & Poor Management Syste

I haven’t had the app long, so I can’t comment much on the alerts, but every item I’ve looked at so far is no longer available. When you view an item, you’re redirected to the original site where it’s listed. If you go back to the Free Stuff Alerts app, there’s an option to “mark item as sold.” However, this system relies on users to mark items as sold if they’re no longer available, which I think is a major flaw.

Anyone can mark an item as sold, even if it isn’t, which could cause unnecessary confusion. This option should only be available to the owner of the item. Alternatively, since the app pulls information from other sites, it should be able to remove items automatically when they’re marked as sold on the original listing site. The current setup feels unreliable and poorly managed.
