Fontmaker - Font Keyboard App 4+

I wish there wasn’t any money involved!

Honestly, I read the reviews before downloading and there was more negative than positive things about the app. I really love the idea of having your own handwriting for others to to see but I hate that you have to pay monthly. I don’t spend money on any games so this is app is a no for me. I hope there is a solution to where you make your handwriting font to be free and other fonts in the game too because most of the negativity is coming from paying for a font! Overall I think the app is great but I don’t like that you have to pay MONTHLY for a font

Update: hahaha. No way! No. Zero stars. You have to pay to actually use said font? What? I’m not, I’m not PAYING to use my own hand writing. What a joke. Do not download unless you’re rich and do not care what you put your money on. This is ridiculous… So the biggest improvement would be to remove the ridiculous subscription. Disappointed.

Original review: It’s a cool app and I’m glad I came across it but there are some cons to the app… - it doesn’t do what your usual keyboard does. It doesn’t automatically add the apostrophe when writing a word like “it’s” - and the space bar isn’t where it normally is on a normal keyboard so you end up pressing something else which is a pain when you’re typing fast. - when you backspace one letter it goes mad and deletes the whole word. Some improvements needed but I am so glad I found this app still. Haven’t tried it out with anyone yet but can’t wait to.

Possible data breach

Why oh why do the developers need “full access”?
When allowing an app to have full access they have the be ability to see everything you type, not a big thing until you realise this includes everything you have ever typed!

Here what you’re not told, but are by IPhone settings if you read into it.

“ Third-party keyboards provide an alternative way to input keyboard data. These keyboards can access all the data you type, including bank account and credit card numbers, street addresses, as well as other personal and sensitive information. These keyboards may also access nearby text or data, which is useful for improving auto-correct functionality.

If you enable Full Access, developers are permitted to access, collect and transmit the data you type. In addition, if the third-party application containing the keyboard has your permission to access location, photos or other personal data, the keyboard can also collect and transmit that information to the keyboard developer’s servers. If you disable Full Access for a third-party keyboard, and then re-enable it, the keyboard’s developer may be able to access, collect and transmit what was typed while the network access was disabled.”
