Just ok

As with most apps, this has such potential but the half assed creation means it is ok. I can program my Go to do the basics, ok. There is no reporting to tell me how long it mowed today or even a map to show how much of the garden it covered or really any of the great ideas implemented by the Robo hoovers now. The use if random direction mowing is weak, especially since you now offer corridor cutting that clearly bounces between the boundary wire. The mower doesn’t even seem to do a simple journey tracing the boundary wire to cut the edge, yes I may have set the mower to go past the wire but that is barely cuts up to the placement when the mower is approaching from a 90 degree angle. And why it’s still Bluetooth and not gone wireless is also beyond me. Again a robo hoover which is a third of the size can fit wireless technology then why can’t this?
All in all the app does the bare minimum rather than trying for more.

Do not update version 1.5.1

The original app did a job and worked in its basic format on my iPhone . Spotted the update for the app and wished I had never. It has forgotten it was paired to my Flymo EasiLife. So followed the on screen instructions. After 4 mower restarts to pair to the new app eventually paired but said the mower had a problem and offered no access to schedule or anything else. So IT rule number one do a restart of everything. After restart it would not pair to the mower again. Luckily I have the old app on my iPad so paired my iPad with the old app everything works fine. But I had to turned off auto app updates. Please fix or put the old app back.
Updated
So after my original review of the version update to 1.5.1 updating to version 1.5.2 happy days back in action. Still not as simple as the previous version to 1.5.1. But hurray it now works. Hats of to the team in control, they have taken on board the comments from the App Store and released a new version that works. This now compliments the the product. Looks different but works. Upgraded my star rating back to 4.

Updated and now working

Out of the box, I couldn’t connect to the mower. Performed a software update and all is now working perfectly. This is a bit of a faff having to physically connect the mower to a computer… with a USB A-B old printer style cable. Bit retro lol!!!
Really pleased with the functionality and settings in the app. Once a relationship is setup, it connects immediately. (Noted some older reviews said you had to reconnect everything - not the case anymore).
Overall, the app and mower do everything they need to and I’m pleased. Only drop one star as it would be good to have updated over the phone to the mower and Wi-Fi connectivity. Seems to be a selling point for high end mowers to have Wi-Fi, yet I can buy a £10 plug that has remote Wi-Fi connectivity. Small point but a big user issue. Really pleased with it overall.
