The light keeps switching off randomly (has done so twice today, once when it wouldn’t turn on at the set time and in the afternoon I found it off before schedule). This is a major problem:

1 - I inject CO2 so when it turns off randomly I’m effectively doubling the CO2 projecting and halving the O2 production without photosynthesis, so I’m suffocating my fish
2 - when I turn the light back on my fish are so startled they swim rapidly and crash into everything, as well as their pigments changing.
3 - my plants won’t get the even growth from consistent light exposure
4 - when this happens the Bluetooth connection fails and I have to manually remove the light, unplug, and reset it whilst gradually moving the light closer to the tank so my fish don’t die of shock

I’ve had the light since April, and this hasn’t been a one-off occurrence. Although it’s a good beginner light, I will be moving onto a different brand once I can afford it. 3 stars for customisation ability.

Hi, Please check:
If the power disconnect during the day? If it disconnect at any time, it will not run according to the schedule, you must use your phone reconnect it and it will synchronization you phone time to you light.

Rubbish!! Also won't work with iPad 2

Saw all videos on the aquasky Bluetooth led light and looked amazing so saved and got the 27 watt one. Downloaded app on my iPad 2 air and won't recognise my Bluetooth as being on so won't pair with device, tried troubleshooting and still didn't work. So had to use a very old mobile phone to download app which picked up Bluetooth on device.. Disappointed with the 24hr setting (which was main reason for buying light) 1 you can't adjust a lot of things only time or colour, you can't set weather for different days of week or have multiple affects on same day either.. Example you can only have thunderstorm once a day or on multiple days at the same time.. You can't have thunderstorm Monday and Friday then cloudy the other days plus also you can't have thunderstorm and cloudy in same day at different times, I was hoping I could go from sunny to cloudy to the storm over a period of 24hrs but you can only have 1 dramatic action per day at same time every day. It's very deceiving, what you see on the demo isn't what you get, it leads you to believe you can do more than you actually can. Also demos show different control settings too so it's hard to work out instructions... I'm very disappointed especially for the price I paid (wasn't cheap) I'm considering returning it for refund to but some normal led bulbs.. Less hassle and stress.

Good but could be excellent

The app works fine with the LED lighting unit in terms of pairing. You do need to select the light unit if you go away for a lengthy period of time. So I tested it in the morning and then evening and had to re-find via Bluetooth but it took only 2 seconds. The lights are nice and powerful with enough colour choices. You can program the timer so that the night mode has 0% blue so in effect it is turned off. I like the tapered effect I can set against time so it gets dark throughout the evening slowly. The App would be a must and would corner the market if it had Siri integration. Imagine how cool it would be just saying “Hey Siri, change the tank light to blue”. Plus the app should have tank planning features so you can record water quality results, water changes, maintenance schedules , so it would make it more holistic and relevant. It is pricey but you can find deals and cash back deals as high as 10%.
