Description
Welcome to FLORIDA INTERSTATE '86, a light-weight driving game where the goal is to cruise into the sunset for as long as possible while earning points by collecting cassette tapes and driving dangerously. A dynamic noon-sunset lighting system, a selection of colorful retro-styled sports cars and a synthwave/chillwave soundtrack ensure that every single one of your trips into this '80s fantasy Sunshine State is a unique one.

Great retro driving game
Excellent graphics and sound coupled with random road map makes this game a lot of fun. The vehicle steering controls are good, but you have to reach across to tap the car to activate turbo which can be frustrating. The car is quite hard to control when turbo is active and there are no brakes. I agree the scenery could do with a little more variation as others have said, but prefer quality over quantity. ‘New’ cars you collect are just one of the existing three cars in a different colour, which is slightly disappointing.
In terms of improvements, it would be nice if crashes gave you a little more leeway - a slight paint rub with the side barrier or other vehicle should not be ‘game over’. Also it would be great if the crashes were more realistically animated. Also, there is no pause button!!
Overall, an very enjoyable and rewarding, if slightly repetitive driving game.
Really cool games reminds me of old GTA
Really good fun and relaxing game
Would be better if there were more maps or backgrounds so it doesn’t get boring
Could be
Not for me but a great idea. The steering is like jelly apart from road signs and giant cassettes flying into you face it’s hard to play. Hit a truck head on, no problem but catch a wing mirror on the side of the road and the car explodes like a bomb.
Would have been a great relaxing game to just drive. Let’s do a new version!
Who knows you might like it.
