Final Freeway 4+

As an Outrun addict from years ago I love this clever game. It’s so evocative of summer holidays with my young son in arcades. He’s a big man now and would thrash me at any game.
So I can only heap praise on this little gem which costs almost nothing for hours of stress alleviating pleasure.

I've been waiting ages in the hope that Sega would release OutRun on the App Store, sadly as yet that hasn't happened...... but then I came across Final Freeway whilst browsing through the games on an iPhone game trailers app. After seeing the video I bought the game straight away, and I'm glad I did. It's an excellent game, great graphics, the frame rate is incredibly smooth and I found the controls to be really good. I never use accelerometer controls as I hate them, so I always look for the touch controls, and I'm pleased to say that these work well.

It may be OutRun clone, but its as close as you're going to get. The developer has done a fantastic job with this. I look forward to their future games. Well worth 59p.

The great thing about this game is that you can choose your music, so I selected Magical Sound Shower from my music library, hit the start button and it was back to the eighties, but with better graphics than my dear old Atari. Love it!

Update. I now have an Apple TV box plus FF 2r, the newest version of this game. So with AirPlay mirroring turned on you get - a large screen, great sound and game-play made even better. Sheer bliss until my wife wants to watch TV.
