FamCal - Shared Calendar 4+

We use this for family of four and all of us input into it - invaluable to know what a busy family is up to. The shopping list means kids can add to it and even better, my 15 year old picks things up “ as he was passing by the shops” without being asked as he knows at all times, what we need. Highly highly recommend. Have used it for years and you can always immediately know of diary clashes across the whole family when booking social and work things in. Will sync with google calendar too and keeps track of birthdays etc. it is lovely to see whole family at once but also switch calendar views to one or two people only. Occasional glitch with shopping list updating in all devices but other than that I’ve now used it for years and is brilliant.

Out of all the apps, this one has to be the most beneficial I have ever downloaded.
It’s shared between me and my husband and we are now just so used to saying ‘let me check my famcal first’ before either one of us agrees to do something.
- Your team wants to schedule a work meeting at 1pm? Oh wait I can’t famcal says we have the dentist.
-Parents invite us over for Sunday lunch? Oh wait the famcal says we’ve booked in with our friends for a play date with the children.
- want to be reminded well in advance of a scheduled appointment? famcal lets you choose when you receive the reminder.
- need to be reminded of something once a year (like an MOT due)? Then FamCal lets you add it in to repeat on the same date annually so you never let it lapse.

This app has single handedly prevented big disagreements because my husband would have otherwise forgotten I had told him about plans already made.

It also has so many other usual functions, such as shopping lists that when either of us add to it the other can it as a live update as they shop. Plus our shared to do lists for house chores too that we can each check off.

I cannot overstate the value this app has brought to our relationship. Thank you FamCal.

Very impressed with the app, I’m using the free version and it’s organised us all perfectly. Was using a wall Callander previously and my partner and I would never be organised as we forgot to put things on the shared calendar from our electronic calendars.. this app allows you to integrate other calendars and we’ve never been so organised.
Also has to do lists, shopping lists.. again you can share between you or add private appointments or to do’s.
Tried a few other free apps before this one, however I found the interface of those wasn’t as good and the others had too many locked fractures on the free version.
This app also provides a day summary showing appointments and lists on one screen. Other applications I had to click onto the Calendar page to see events and click onto the lists page to see to do’s.. this app gives a summary page of lists and the days events. Also provides email notifications for events if youd like that.
Great free app. I really want the paid version to be able to use the ‘sub tasks’ feature, just waiting for a deal to come up to purchase it.
Highly recommend to get all the family organised.
