Description
Estimote app is used for the management of Estimote Beacons, Stickers, and Mirrors. Connect over Bluetooth to any of your devices to manage the settings or access the built-in sensors.
One of the highlights of the app are the demos. See Estimote Monitoring in action with the Proximity demo, working both in the background and the foreground. And try different Mirror scenarios with Mirror demos.
The app allows you to securely manage the following:
- Enable/disable packets (e.g. Estimote Monitoring, iBeacon, Eddystone)
- Modify the broadcasting power and the advertising interval of each beacon
- Sync the pending settings with the Estimote Cloud
- Request the ownership transfer of your beacons
- Check the readings of accelerometer, temperature or other sensors
- See the battery status and the estimated remaining battery life with the current settings
- Update beacons’ firmware
The app works with the Proximity Beacons, Location Beacons, Location Beacons with UWB, Mirror, and Stickers. It’s only compatible with Estimote devices.

Useful app for ibeacon testing
Useful iBeacon app for creating a virtual beacon, however when testing and following instructions within the app using an iPad air as a virtual beacon and an iPhone 5s I did have a few issues.
With the app open on the iPad sending out the virtual beacon signal and using the estimate app on an Phone 5s i could locate the beacons successfully and see the pop up ad, but could not get the pop up notification on the lock screen to work properly when walking in our out of range, ad just stays there, needs a fix.
Useful
I have found this app useful for creating virtual beacons with my iPad and iPhone whilst waiting for my real Estimote Beacons to arrive. It’s been useful in the respect that I have been able to figure out basic communication with the virtual beacons and start working out some of the features and learning the SDK. It's allowed me to be productive with my time whilst I’m waiting for the real beacons to arrive…good job.
Indoor location doesn't work
Radar picks up the beacons fine but indoor location doesn't pick them up. Very disappointing.
