Pointless and Useless
When it works it's pointless. It logs you out every few days and the app doesn't remember your membership number so you need to carry your library card round or remember your 14-digit membership number (and password) so you can log in again the next time you want to take a book out. What's the point of having an app to replace your library card if you've got to carry your library card with you to be able to log in to the app? Of course, all the above only applies when the app works. It didn't today, in the library when I wanted to take some books out. Another app written by someone who has never used it and another vote for zero stars rating.
Recent Issues
Usually this app is fantastic, being able to reserve books for my daughter easily is so helpful and being able to see all the due dates and renew books with a click is amazing.
However for the last few days/a week the app hasn’t worked. It shows I still have books that I’ve returned and the catalogue to search for new books is unavailable.
I assume this is a problem with the system as I don’t think the app has updated. It’s suddenly become unusable and I just wanted to add my feedback to others in hope it gets fixed!
App failure
Downloaded and have been using BorrowBox, it’s a great app.
I decided I’ll download the Library app and make more use of the books on offer too.
Well it wouldn’t let me log in at all, so I deleted it and downloaded it and now it says it can’t connect to the internet. I definitely have internet. Not a great start to using an app for books. Hopefully the app is being worked on and improved and will be working soon.
Giving one star as you have to give something. It doesn’t deserve that really as it doesn’t work.
