No option to log out
I decided to download the app as I couldn’t get into the Ecobank website (that’s another story). There’s so no option to log out!! I have seen a response from the developer saying it’s designed like this so that you don’t have to sign in every time you launch the app! From a security standpoint this is absolutely awful. I have never before encountered any banking app or website that doesn’t require a sign in or sign out. If the website wasn’t so flaky I would immediately delete this app from my devices. As a result I am considering changing banks to one that has a more reliable website online network and better online security for its apps.

Seriously how worse can it get?
10* for your customer service employees. However, when it comes to digital platforms, lord have mercy. From trying to logon to pending transactions that have not been processed more than a week and endless bugs, the app is a sham. I believe you need to scrap the entire thing and start anew.
Honestly, it is embarrassing and a disappointment to all of us who want to support African banks from overseas. My one star, is due to lack of worse rating: otherwise I would have given you -0.

Unable to access the app
Ecobank is taking its customers for granted. I am currently out of the country and had to change my phone due to a screen problem. After installing the app on my new phone, I am now unable to access banking services. When I reached out to the bank for help, they told me that the issue can only be resolved when I return to the country and take my new phone to a branch. This is so ridiculous as I am not going to Ghana any time soon.
Very disappointed customer.
