Description
Dictionary for 51 language combinations, usable with or without an internet connection (offline dictionary). Vocabularies can be downloaded and updated within the app for free.

German-English dictionary: more than 1 million translations
All dictionaries are bidirectional, so German-English doubles as English-German. Just type in your keyword in either language.
The following languages are available in combination with German and English:

New translations and corrections can be suggested at http://contribute.dict.cc/. Every translation gets checked by several other contributing users. The downloadable vocabularies are updated daily.

Studying in Germany
I have been studying in Germany for three weeks now and I have used this app every day that I have been here. I have recommended it to my friends on the same course and now they all use it too. Offline dictionary is great for travelling without incurring huge data costs!
Great
I have found the app really useful in German classes. When I come across new words that I think I should know I add them to my vocabulary list and use the vocabulary trainer feature when I get time. For me the only significant issue is that the vocabulary trainer doesn’t show the gender of nouns in the solution. Another minor issue is that translation lists can be slow to scroll, but generally I don’t need to scroll.
So useful
Brilliant and massively comprehensive dictionary, simple interface, ability to download and test yourself on vocab - I've never reviewed an app before but this has been enormously useful and I highly recommend it.
