Creates more problems than solves

App is aimed at foreigners travelling in Thailand yet the app cannot be topped up using bank transfer, wire or card.

Go to a store try to add funds via cash and the staff look at you like you’re crazy.

Only option to top-up is having a Thai national with ID card do it for you.

If you’re on vacation trying to convince a Thai person to do this for you is ridiculous.

Clunky slow app that needs Face ID and code 3x times to access the app.

THB 399 per month to use QR Scan.

It was free in 2024, but now it’s paid it doesn’t make sense to use.

DeepPocket’s THB 399 monthly fee is justified if you process over about THB 13,300 in transactions per month** (since 3% of 13,300 ≈ 399 THB).

Otherwise Use Morata instead on their Free plan. They charge 3% per transaction. Ideal if you’re just grabbing food and coffee.

Their service is way better, even on their free option you can transfer funds from your bank or Wise to the account.

It’s like the DeepPocket team have completely missed the point.

Unreliable, not worth it

Several times detained money during transfers without any reason - just didn’t let the payment through. Almost lost 12,000THB because of it, the only explanation: sorry. Several times. The only way to contact the support team is on Facebook - very uncomfortable.

Last straw is their change to paid QR code scan - as an existent user, they disabled ability to scan. Now have to pay 399THB/month for this function.
