Great game !

I have been playing the game for a few months now and overall just a great game to pass the time and collect things, but I have noticed recently that the texture of the fire and portals and some objects have been extremely pixelated? Idk if this is because of the recent updates or the game isn’t loading in properly.

But my genuine review on the game is that I believe it’s a great game to pass time and to experience the fun as you find your own way through to play and collect new things in each level. Trying to pass each level has its own challenges and skills And the creativity, the graphics (before the game began to pixelate), the amazing backgrounds and textures and overall the journey and little details in each level are amazing.

The main reason why I wrote this review was to address the issue of the pixelation but I Might aswell give my respect to the game for giving me soo much fun and a new game to enjoy while going through college so thank you :3

Controller Support!!!!!

Please add Controller support, it seems crazy it doesn’t have it! I just bought this game assuming I could play it on my Backbone, but alas! Imagine my disappointment. Having started to play games on the Backbone, there’s no way I’m going back – so until controller support is added, I can’t play this!

It looks great and I really respect what you guys do. I don’t wanna be a douche and give this 1 star, even though I’ve now essentially paid good money for nothing, so I’m giving you 5 as an investment. Please add controller support and make me (and no doubt countess others) a happy gamer! Pretty please!! With a cherry on top!!!

Developer Response ,

Hi! We’re really sorry to hear that you have been impacted by this issue with Backbone controllers. The fix is ready and coming with the next update on November 29th. Our apologies again for this inconvenience!

It’s Dead Cells! With slight issues

I love Dead Cells having the game on the PS4 and Xbox so to have it on my iPhone is amazing. The game itself is identical to the console and PC big cousins and that should be a glowing recommendation enough.

However, it loses a star for me thanks to the controls which feel slightly awkward, and fractionally laggy (as most on screen analog sticks do) it lacks the accuracy of the console controls and to often I find myself wanting to slam downwards on an an enemy from above only to slide slightly left or right instead. The same also applies for climbing vines, ropes or chains. It feels like the game demands accuracy that the control system can’t quite hit.

The other thing that loses the game it’s vital 5th star is the lack of custom game. This isn’t as big a deal as the floaty controls which have ensured that as a seasoned player of the game I’ve been frustrated trying to get off the initial 0BC levels, but it is another oversight that is a minor irritant.

Overall as a game Dead Cells is fantastic if you like Rogue Like platformers and I would say that apart from the controls any review for the game online on any platform is applicable to this version too. Superb game with a great port but marred by slightly off control system but great for scratching that itch if you have no other access to the game while on the move.
