DDPAI 4+

As I said, the camera is brilliant but this app is so poor! Having to turn off mobile data to connect to the cameras wifi is crazy as it needs mobile data to update. Not very well thought out. The English translation is also lacking!

This is such a disappointment. I have the (£150) DDPai Mini 3, which is an incredible piece of hardware, excellent specs and build quality. But, this companion app, is just awful, very hard to use, completely unintuitive, and broken in parts.
Whilst the hardware does record non-stop, the software splits up the entire video history into 30 second clips, meaning if you rewind to find an incident chances are it’ll be split across several clips. Or, if you use the remote button to “mark” a clip, it only rewinds 15 seconds, which is nowhere near enough to show the circumstances of an incident. And the maximum you can set a marked clip to be is only 30 seconds.
Worst of all, the live stream viewer is broken, meaning setting up the camera and positioning it on the windscreen is completely down to guesswork!

This app completely ruins an amazing piece of hardware, I’m gutted that I will be returning the camera.

Just been told but support that you have to turn your mobile data off and only connect via the dash cams WiFi for live video and to see front and rear recording hopefully this gets fixed

Just brought the z40 seemed like the better camera for me but the app is no good it doesn’t show live video only what’s been recorded apart from the rear camera don’t show anything no recording no live view. Also once you come out of the app the camera doesn’t detect you have come out of the app so it doesn’t start recording again.
