Description

Danske ID is Danske Bank’s secure authentication app. You can use Danske ID to authorise and approve actions on Mobile Bank, eBanking, District and other Danske Bank requests.
You will need to be registered for eBanking or a registered District User in order to use the app.

To begin using the app, just download the app to your device and follow the activation steps.

When using Danske ID for the first time, you will need your eBanking User ID/District User ID and Passcode/Password.
You will also need to create a PIN code to log on to the app. For extra security you should choose a unique PIN code that you don’t use anywhere else.
Once the activation is complete, your Danske ID is ready to use. Simply log on and slide to approve when prompted by Danske Bank to do so.

Re ID app

My husband and I use the same iPad and now I cant get into our joint account using my security details as it only accepts his finger print or details.
I have to keep logging on to the website to get into the account.
This should be taken into account when there are two account holders and both need access.

Developer Response ,

Thank you for your feedback! It will become possible in near future to login from one device to two different account.
I recommend you to keep the automatic updates on, so you can get the new features as soon as they become available. -Tuomas

Forcing camera permissions

Very poorly designed app. Camera permissions required for the app to function. Why is the camera permission FORCED?! Very sketchy behaviour and I have lost a lot of trust in Danske generally as forcing unnecessary access to my device for functions I don’t use or never will. Apps developed by professionals typically don’t block the complete app when a permission is denied. I just want to approve payments. Is there a reason you need my camera for this? Note: I don’t scan QR codes or have ever used the camera in this app, so I ask why is this forced?

Every other banking app I use is so much simpler than this mess of split apps and unnecessary permissions.

Developer Response ,

Hi, The latest version of the Danske ID app asks for your consent to use the camera in your mobile device. The camera will be used to scan QR codes when using Danske ID to log in to eBanking or District. If you don't give Danske ID consent to use the camera you will be unable to use Danske ID for identification. The use of QR codes and separate devices when logging on is a very effective way of preventing fraud and improving banking security in situations where, for example, bank identifiers have ended up into the wrong hands.

Danske ID is the most secure way to log in to our online services and to interact with other actors in an online environment. Read more about the upcoming change: danskebank.fi/qrcode. - Marjaana

Why does it have to be so difficult??

I have just got the new iPhone and wanted to set up my mobile banking. While trying to set it up, it was mandatory to download this ID app. When trying to set up this app it keeps informing me that they are having a technical problem and to try again later. It is now two days later and I am still having the same problem. Not only is this annoying but the normal banking app will not work unless I this one set up! All I want to do is use the banking app, why does it have to be this difficult?!

Developer Response ,

Hi! I'm sorry to hear that! I recommend you to delete the app once and then download it again to your iPhone. If you are still having problems, please contact our customer service 0200 2590 (Inc/mpc). Have a nice weekend! -Tuomas
