Description

Curb offers 3 different programs for drinking, depending on whether your goal is to reduce, quit, or celebrate your sobriety.

We also offer an initial assessment of your habit neurotype which helped us understand the drivers for your previous drinking behaviours. This allows us to ditch the “one size fits all approach” used by other programs and cater more directly to your underlying needs.

WHAT IS THE CURB PROGRAM?

- Recognise your patterns: Get data insights about what helps you keep on track — and what doesn’t.
- Track progress and stay accountable: Set and review your pledge to change your drinking behaviour each day.
- Train your brain to think and feel differently about alcohol: Get access to daily cognitive exercises to strengthen your ability to control your drinking or maintain sobriety.
- Get 24/7 access to tools which will help you curb cravings wherever, whenever you need it.
- Join our supportive community: Connect with like-minded individuals to stay motivated and on track.
- Not judgemental and affordable: Get the support you need without stigma, waiting lists or significant costs.

AN EFFECTIVE SOLUTION

We believe that your mind is like a muscle and that with practice you can train your brain to develop new ways of thinking and feeling.

We spent 3 years interviewing over 200 individuals and carried out innovative research which resulted in us being published in The British Journal of Psychiatry OPEN and being awarded First Prize at The Royal College of Psychiatrists Annual Addiction Conference for our InnovateUK funded research involving over 5000 users.

In our initial pilot study, over 90% of Curb users achieved their goal of quitting or reducing their drinking. They also enjoyed statistically significant improvements in their mood and anxiety levels using clinically validated measurements (PHQ9 and GAD7 scores).

We’re excited that you’ve chosen to join the thousands of people who have improved their lives after downloading Curb. However please remember that the Curb app is not a replacement for seeing a healthcare professional. If you feel unwell, you should always still seek the advice of a doctor.

Brilliant, and totally free!

I downloaded this app because I wanted to reduce my alcohol intake for health reasons - I was a bit skeptical because how good could a free app be right? Well, it’s bloody brilliant - it’s easy to use, full of helpful tips, it explained why I drink and how to cut down - it’s easy to track your drinking and gain an understanding of what my triggers are - and gives helpful alternatives if I feel I am craving or wanting to drink. Highly recommend it to anyone who either wants to stop drinking or just cut down - I have cut down my alcohol intake by about 90% since I started using it - so not only is it helping improve my health it’s also saving me a lot of money too! 👌🏽👍🏽

Great help

Curb has really helped me formulate and understand my drinking relationship and strategies to cut down during the most hectic times of my life…

I’ll definitely at some point look to curb alcohol completely and will be using curb as an accountability and monitoring tool.

Highly recommend

Changing habit…

Such a great resource to support me moving to a healthier relationship with alcohol. I know it won’t happen over night and like having something I can tap into every day.
