Ratings and Reviews
Good for the memory but......
This is the third Criminal Case I’ve downloaded. Unlike some of your reviewers, I do not mind the extreme characterisation or the adverts (you have to pay for the development of the free games somehow) and, after all, they are just memory games with story lines (good for keeping the little grey cells active - I’m in my seventies). I also like the new spin the wheel start as I now don’t HAVE to play the game every day to retain the highest bonus.
However, I had almost finished the original one when the card collection phase was introduced. I went back and started replaying the game but was frustrated when the occasional gifts (double coins, double stars, 15 points per game, etc) did not seem to take effect. They also do not take effect on the card collection phase of the new games. Is this just on my iPad (it was bought this year) or is it a bug?
Having fun with this
Have been with Criminal Case for quite a while and have enjoyed working through Grimsborough, Pacific Bay and a lot of Save the World. Its the story lines that keep me interested, and I’d like to pass on a thanks to the writer/s. The only down side is its not so good when you have no friends on the app as not everyone can just pay for the cash. I do hope I can keep on with this, including Mysteries and Conspiracy Theory.
Could be better because...
I love Criminal Case, and have enjoyed Pacific Bay, too. I expected Save the World to be just as good. It has the potential to be, but the first case is just ridiculous. The extreme stereotypes with tea drinking, royalty, polo playing and dialect is leaning towards an insult. I’m British and can confidently say that less than 1% of people in England speak the way you portrayed the characters in the first case. The childish stereotypes made it very hard to enjoy. I hope this isn’t the same for all other cases. I’m waiting for the French to constantly eat cheese and croissants and drink wine, or Indians to be indulging in curry 24/7. As I said, this instalment of Criminal Case could be great, but the overuse of stereotypes, to the point of it no longer being funny, just totally ruined it.
