Description

Is your address book a messy collection of contacts imported from old phones and computers? Use ContactClean to eliminate duplicates and find missing data to clean your address book! Combine several partial contacts for the same person into a single complete one.

Automatic Cleanup finds duplicate contacts with the same name and same phone or email to quickly and automatically combine doubles. Or cleanup yourself, to decide how to combine the doubles into one.

Find misnamed contacts, such as those with only a first name, to quickly add the missing parts. Even search and replace to get rid of old information that other phones may have left around in your address book.

Easily email yourself a backup of your address book, delete batches of old contacts with just a few taps, and more.

NOTE: This app works best if your contacts are synced to iCloud. Syncing to other data sources, such as your computer or other servers, may later "fix" the contacts back to the way they were before you cleaned them!

Loses contacts and not free

Does not handle multiple address books/groups properly. Attempts to merge contacts into third party read only address books e.g. Facebook in iOS6 and gives no indication of the source or destination of contacts so contacts are transferred between address books without warning.

Has resulted in deletion of many windows live messenger contacts which a backup cannot restore as well as loss all contact details for contacts who you have in Facebook.

Summary: Do not use (unless you don't use Facebook, only one address book and are willing to triple check every merge)

Just crashes

I haven't been able to get this to work at all - the progress bar gets about 3/4 of the way through then it just closes. I have tried selecting the option intended in settings for lots of contacts but makes no difference. Shame :-(

Fantastic!!

I synced my contacts with Facebook using a recommended app, which only succeeded in duplicating my contacts. Nothing I tried worked, I surfed the net for hours trying to get help. Then I found this with a simple search term
In the app store and cleaned up all my contacts in about a minute! So pleased, thank you!!
