The best way to learn Chinese characters!

I’ve tried & failed so many times to learn Chinese characters, and as anybody with understanding of mandarin knows, many Chinese words are made of combinations of other smaller words and also the combination of 2 (or even more) characters combined together to form a new word / meaning. So basically it really helps to learn the characters and not just rely on pinyin!
This app is so helpful for memorising characters in a fun and engaging way. Each character also gives background info & has amazing illustrations that’s really helpful with learning!
The next step I hope these developers will do is to have sentence testing, using the characters that appear in our ‘learnt’ section :D

Gold member, but...I have some comments

The app is great so I payed a yearly subscription but it really is a bit annoying the fact that inside the app you mixes up simplified Chinese with the traditional. I want to have an CLEAR option to turn off traditional. Now I selected simplified in the menu but in some of my cards (for example the card for long-长, I still see the traditional and I don’t want to put this in memory now at the begging of my journey). Also in reviewing tab (next to favourite words tab) from the selection menu I get the cards mixed up even though I selected simplified Chinese. Please do something about this, a clear option...

Second thing is that I would like to have a visible way of seeing the last lesson I did. Please make it:) because at the moment when I reopen the app I don’t remember where I was last time I closed...

Third thing, I see you have audio for all the words. Why not make a setting that will make the app play the audio of the card every time you pass from the current card to the next one? Audio listen reinforces the learning!

Thanks for such detailed feedback, it is much appreciated. Regarding the simplified and traditional, in the review section, if you only want to see the simplified characters, you will need to click 'S' tab, the one on the right side of favourite words tab.

Regarding your 2nd question, can we ask if your device is iPad or iPhone? With an iPhone device, the journey map should show you the last lesson you did whenever you start the app.

As for your third question, we did consider to play the audio automatically when users move to the next card. But we also consider some users may be in the environment which isn't allowed to have the sound come out from their device. We certainly will reconsider this!

This app is amazing ! It’s quite hard to find a good language learning app especially for Chinese. You can tell the developers of this amazing app have put time and effort into it and the lessons are really thought through. It’s quite hard to remember the characters and the writing system so they made it so that you can remember the spelling with pictures. It really focuses on the spelling, punctuation, grammar, tones, characters and writing structure which is really beneficial. It also already unlocks 200 levels for free !!!! which is really good. Overall I would rate this app ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️ I recommend this app to everyone even if you are a total beginner like me.
