Chime : Speaking Clock 4+

Thanks for this. I tried several similar apps but none offer the functionality of this one and as consistently. Runs in the background and chimes every 15 mins without any intervention needed.

The only things which could be improved - the talking clock could be made more frequent (currently only happens hourly) and if several profiles could be created (for example 10 min talking clock in the morning, half hourly chimes in the day, etc.)

This app is great for time blindness. I have a chime that goes off every half hour. BUT! You cannot change the volume of the chime. It is WAY too loud for me generally, and this time I was in the middle of listening to WhatsApp message with my ear against the phone when it went off in my ear. It has really hurt my ear with how loud it is. Please can I request that the developers make an adaptation so that the volume can be adjusted within the app, and also it shouldn’t be able to play that loud through the speaker whilst the phone is in any sort of close listening mode. I am a musician and eardrum pain like that could potentially affect my livelihood. My ear actually hurts.

I had an app called Chime that was fantastic. I could set it so a female voice tell me the time every quarter hour, I need the app is easy to turn on and off when I was somewhere where I didn’t want the time announcements. The app stopped working so I deleted it and download this version which 1) has very annoying (female & male) voices 2) the voice needlessly says “it’s” before saying the time 3) doesn’t allow for the voices to say the time on the quarter hour 4) is not as easy to turn on and off I want my old Chime back. I will have to keep on looking for an app that works as well as the old Chime.
