Description

This application is thoroughly crafted to assist you in reviewing and honing your opening repertoire in chess. By leveraging a sophisticated chess engine and incorporating a curated list of the most popular user moves, you can not only refine your existing repertoire but also delve into exploring new openings or strategically planning your moves within sideline variations.

In addition, your progress in chess will also be aided by chess puzzles, where you'll be challenged to make moves not only for yourself but also for your opponent, adding an extra layer of strategic thinking and complexity to your training regimen. The total number of unique puzzles exceeds 100,000 to minimize the occurrence of repeated tasks for you.

You can also train your knowledge of chess openings' names in an unlimited quiz mode, where with each correct answer, new names are added for you to test your knowledge. The questionnaire is structured in such a way that at the beginning, you will encounter easy questions about the most popular openings among masters. And gradually, the questions will become more challenging.

What’s New

Some good features but lacking

The app is good in many ways, for example the quiz mode is great for teaching opening patterns, but it would be great to be able to adjust the speed of the animations and save a repertoire. The explorer mode has no instructions at all and I cannot work out how to use it. A potentially great app that needs attention.

Developer Response ,

Thank you so much for your feedback! We will definitely take your comments into account in our future improvements.

Weak

There is no way you can delete a repertoire or replace it. The app is very basic and does not offer anything effective for building a repertoire or practicing an opening.

Developer Response ,

There's a way to remove repertoire: simply navigate to the move from which you want to remove, bring up the menu, press the 'Delete' button, and follow the instructions. If you want to train your chess openings through this application, you need to add them to the app first. Then, for training these openings, the app offers three possible modes. You can repeat each line from start to finish. There's also a condensed option where the move is repeated no more than once. And there's a shuffled mode where you must find the correct move in a random position from your opening.
