Description
With Tap to Pay on iPhone and the BT Tap to Pay app, you can accept in-person, contactless payments, right on your iPhone — from physical debit and credit cards, to Apple Pay and other digital wallets — no extra terminals or hardware needed. It’s easy, secure and private. You’ll also be supported by EE, the UK's No.1 network for 10 years in a row.
ACCEPTING PAYMENTS IS EASY:
- Open the BT Tap to Pay app on your phone and enter the purchase amount
- Present your phone to the customer
- Have your customer hold their card or digital wallet over the contactless symbol located at the top of your screen
- When you see the "done" checkmark, the transaction is complete

Love, so easy to use
I’ve been able to take payments so quickly and easily!
It’s been especially helpful when doing deliveries and not being able to bring a physical card reader. It is so much quicker than bank transfer in these situations.
My customers love the app too and it’s so fun to use.
It just keeps freezing
I really thought this would be the solution I was looking for. Sadly it is just rubbish, the app just keeps freezing and the only way to get it to work so I can take payments is delete it and the reinstall. Trying to get hold of someone on the chat line is almost impossible and you have to have a pointless fake conversation with a bot. The help line only operates Mon to Fri, sadly most businesses have to operate at weekend so being able to speak to someone then would be really helpful.
When it does work i have to use the payment link rather than the contactless and pin options, they just don’t seem to work all the time.

We sincerely apologise for the difficulties you’ve been having using our app and appreciate you taking the time to give us feedback. We understand how critical it is that you are able to reliably and simply process payments, and on this occasion we’ve not been able to meet your expectations.
We have however addressed the issue you experienced with freezing in our latest update that is available to download now. While we do not currently offer 24/7 customer support, we take on board your feedback and are actively working on expanding our support hours to better accommodate businesses that operate during weekends.
Just what I’ve been looking for!!
Great app! Keeps it simple, super easy to use. No subs or hidden fees either, just pay as you go. Also able to send payment links which is really handy if someone’s card doesn’t work. Paid your money in 2 days. Love it! Would 100% recommend.
