Description

Breeze is the dating app without a chat function. A match is an instant date - after you match, you give your availability and we plan the date and arrange the location for you.

NO CHATTING, JUST DATING
We do things differently. When you match, we'll arrange your first date immediately. No endless chatting, no ghosting - just real-life connections.

NO ENDLESS SWIPING
Every day at 7, we send you a selection of people we think you'll like. Unlike other dating apps designed to keep you swiping, Breeze lets you focus on quality over quantity, get off the app and get to know people in real life.

NO ADS, NO SUBSCRIPTIONS
Breeze is free to download, with no ads, data selling, or premium subscriptions. You only pay when you actually go on a date. For just £9.5, we’ll organize your first date - Your first drink is covered by the bar!

DATE SAFELY
Breeze is designed with your safety and comfort in mind:

- All users are screened and verified.
- Dates take place at Breeze partner bars with staff looking out for you.
- Ghosters face account freezes.
- Daters pay upfront to show commitment.
- Get in touch with the Breeze Support team when you need help.

Great Concept!

This app has been the best dating app I’ve used in the last couple of years, especially compared to the more popular options. I’ve had more dates in the last month, and it really cuts out time-wasters by imposing consequences for canceling dates. I like that you can’t just chat endlessly—this prevents dating fatigue, where you might end up with, say, a hundred matches, seventy conversations, but zero actual dates.

You can choose options for serious dating, casual dating, or “still figuring it out.” This app has so much potential, and it would be even better if the casual and “still figuring it out” options were removed. Doing so could help shift dating culture on apps toward a more serious focus unlike the rest. Also age verification, I have questions for some of the male profiles I don’t think they’re being honest about their age. ID verification would be great.

Nice idea but in reality not good

I like the idea but here are the issues:

1) certain fields are not mandatory to fill out such as if they have kids. Things like this are important. Whole point is to date intentionally - not everyone wants to date someone who has young children and take on the role of a step parent. I don’t want to pay £9.50 and waste my time potentially going on a date with someone who has kids but didn’t disclose on their profile
2) limited profiles every day - I get what they are trying to to but fact is 99% of the time you will not be attracted to the profiles or the profiles hardly have enough information completed for you to know if you want to go on a date with them. Therefore you only find a profile that sparks your interest once every few weeks
3) they don’t take into account where you live when they give you the date location. I live in north London - the guy I matched with lives in south London. They provided Battersea as the date location which is 1.5 hour commute for me and was unfeasible. I had to cancel the date and lose my badge and money. You’d think they would choose a venue in central London somewhere in the middle of both parties to make it fair and reasonable to commute to.

A nice idea poorly executed

The app is a nice idea, allowing you to go straight on a date with someone rather than endlessly text chatting. I really like this as it’s difficult to be funny, witty, or charismatic via text, particularly if the person you match with a profile doesn’t give much for you to work with as far as prompts.

The part where is poorly executed is firstly that there are certain “dealbreakers” that don’t have a filter or anything on the account relating to. I.e do you have kids, do you want kids? So you have to go on the date before you can find out if it’s worth your while going on the date as you want completely different things.

Etc. secondly they do not reveal the location until 24 hours before the date, and if you cancel within 24 hours of a date, you do not get a refund. So when for example the app reveals your date to be in access of an hour and a half each way (a travel time unreasonable for a first date) if you cancel it you are essentially throwing away your money. So what would you like to throw away more, money or over three hours sitting on the train?
