Description
Official mobile application for Montreal metropolitan area’s bike share system.
It allows users to purchase one-way passes and memberships and to rent a bike. A map of the stations shows, in real time, the number of bikes and docking points available at each station so you can plan your routes. Bixi connects with the Health app and sends ride durations so your pedaling counts towards your health goals. Access your personal space to learn more about your trips and usage statistics.

Ratings and Reviews
Buggy and slow
App is very buggy. Renting only works on every 10th attempt, I get “payment in progress” errors a lot and every click is super slow.
Easy to use. Simple
Love the stats that come with it. Super easy to use and really straight forward. Love the functionality.
Uses too much mobile data
The app appears to use around 4MB of mobile data every time it’s opened. Perhaps the maps are not being cached?
We discovered that the app was using around 500MB a month for basic use, which is a huge chunk out of a limited phone plan here in Montreal.
