Great with one major flaw

I really like using this app and I love how non-toxic it is. The idea is really nice even though a bit lacking at places. None that kept me from purchasing Plus, but I would ask for one major thing:
The user should be able to edit the calories and the intake (grams etc) of food as it usually gets calories wrong. Very wrong in some cases. You can choose to not see Kcal at all and that’s great but when you do, it needs to be accurate. The app does well enough to identify food so I’m ok with that, I just need to be able to edit it and correct it myself.
I hope the devs keep this project going and keep these into consideration, I’d love to see this get even better.

Developer Response ,

Hey there! Appreciate your detailed feedback. Noted it for our team. Here is a little workaround you can try at the moment: after you snap your meal you can hit edit and near each ingredient mention the amount of grams and after that save the changes. You can edit even previously logged meals and add the intake there as well. If you have any further questions or suggestions, let us know at hi@bitepal.app.

app bug

generally a good app, i have a history of ED so its good that it doesnt calorie count unless you click that option, also really helpful to get reminders to eat, and helps me with making sure my meals are nutritional, however there is a bug ??? sometimes just wont log a meal, almost crashes after taking a picture (not the whole app just the bit where you log a mesl) in general not a massive issue but as the app cant be used for its intended use unless you pay the £35 seems a bit silly that it wont always let me actually log the meal

Developer Response ,

Thank you for reporting this issue. If you experience it again, please reach out at hi@bitepal.app and let us know the details, we'd like to look into this and fix it as soon as possible.

Amazing, just missing a few features

What a fun idea and app! Theres only a few features missing from making this one of the best food tracking apps:

1) Allow the scanner to scan barcodes in order to log more accurate data.

2) Have some sort of way of reviewing my nutritional intake on a given day. For people that want to hit a daily protein or caloric intake goal this is very important.

3) Some of the gamification mechanisms are a bit of a missed opportunity, hearts should probably correlate to eating healthy vs just eating. Overall more gamification overall would be great.

Hoping the devs keep developing it as its such a great idea and good start :)
