This game is so fixed it’s unbelievable. I can understand people getting unlucky from time to time but I guarantee your luck will nose dive as soon as you get low on coins.....without fail.

Do not gamble any moves on here. Play it safe ALL THE TIME because I also guarantee that whatever you hope your opponent does not roll to capture you with, he will roll 8 times out of 10. It as astounding how people can get away with it. I was captured once and all needed was to throw anything
from 3 to below. It took 6 turns do so but by then the game was over.

All this game does is try to put you in a position so you end up buying more coins so you can continue. Do not ever buy coins. I’d find another game.

It’s unfortunate because this is anything but a game of luck and skill. It’s a game that wants to take as much money off you as possible and will do through the dice. AVOID.

Extremely disappointing - and shameful

I am an avid backgammon player. I have taken part in competitions across the globe. I use apps like this to keep me focussed. This is a nice app BUT I have to say, in my 4 decades of playing this game (semi-pro) I have never seen an opponent’s dice, thrown to the point where luck is an understatement…

This is by no means random. Even the dice I was throwing in my early rankings surprised me. The actual dice throws that I wanted (not just one number, but two) actually ‘materialised’…on many occasions (one way to keep you interested, I suppose).

To use the phrase “cryptographically secure random generation system” completely waters down any fair play. A simple statistical randomness test based on what dice are needed at a particular interval in the game shows it’s completely flawed….to lose 15 out of 16 games straight…each from when my opponent threw undoubtedly FIXED rolls renders this app, in my experience (of which I have many years) FIXED - please do not ask me to change my rating, you’ve lost sight of what would have been an very decent app…shame on you…

Very engaging but totally manipulated dice

Don’t take my word for it, read the hundreds of reviews on App Store and other backgammon forums that say the same.

I love using the platform as it’s a very good GUI and engaging. BUT —- having played this game for over 45 years and at a very high level, I have realistic expectations and vast experience of how dice behave. While the “average” dice stats seem right, it’s manipulated when it matters within the game. The platform clearly decides who will win a game and ensures it happens in the most outrageous of ways.

I’ve had opponents who barely know how to play a good game (and make crazy amature moves) win through sheer unrealistic dice, roll after roll after roll.

I’m sure the developers will post their usual response about random dice generation etc - but the logic on how those dice are dealt within the game is clear as day manipulated.

Case in point, I chose to loose 6 games in a row on purpose (by resigning half way through) to prove that once you lose, the platform ups your changes. And once I will 4 or more games in a row, the opponents get magical dice!

Shame, this is a great platform to play on otherwise - in spite of the INCESSANT ways to try to make you spend money.
