Backgammon is believed to have started in Persia, eventually finding its way to Britain with the Roman conquest in the 1st century and was played by Emperor Claudius who even had his carriage equipped with a playing board! It became such a gambling mania that it was declared illegal under the Republic.
Playing on the history of the game, there are 6 visually pleasing, rich board designs; Egyptian, Roman, Medieval, Victorian, Modern and Classic.
We also offer, out of the box, two classic game variations: “Old English” and Nackgammon. “Old English” is the most popular game variation in England. Nackgammon is a more challenging variation designed to add more creativity and skill to the game.
With integrated Bluetooth Peer-to-Peer support you can play with your friends over Bluetooth with no network required! You can also play against the computer in either Easy, Medium, or Hard difficulties.

Backgammon
Have tried many different backgammon apps but I always return to this one. Even when the computer is losing it still seems to throw random dice numbers. Easy to use and recommended to improve your overall game skills.
Great but...
This is by far my most favourite backgammon app. It looks good, plays to proper old English rules and the dice throws are truly random. However nothing is perfect. The machines decision making in casting off is appalling so will always give you an advantage. It is also frustrating that either when a game is mathematically lost you cannot resign, or when the bases are fully loaded the machine or occasionally yourself still have to keep going through the motions of throwing the dice rather than just passing until a space becomes free. I am a good player and will beat the app 10 to 3 in games but will win 95 out of a 100 matches even in the hardest setting which is pleasing but I would like the app to be either tougher or cleverer. Other apps will simply cheat with the dice throws against you, this doesn't but it just needs to be a bit cleverer!

Has a few styles of gammon and is good to play tho it can feel like it’s pointless as they seem to get an uncanny amount of doubles and leave you with small numbers each time,would be better to have an all out online so we can play each other then it’s probably a five star app but for practice against the computer it’s horribly stacked against us. I punished myself for years playing this and each time I come back I find it even funnier that they luck is still all on the other side. Don’t matter your style,mix it up with attack or defensive and it’s getting the numbers it needs and a good few doubles per game. I’ve played many games on a real board when no doubles come so for this to get half a dozen each game is laughable and as a result I give it a star. Pointless...
