Fantastic Game

Honestly I can’t really say anything bad about this game. I download a lot of games which get deleted within days or weeks, it is very rare to find an engaging, different and purely entertaining game.
Unlike so many other games, you don’t have to watch loads of adds just to actually play the game, in fact there are no adds! The game plays super smooth and is updated regularly to balance it and fix bugs.
I would think some may get bored of the typical “play to level to play more” but the tactics and strategy involved keep it fresh enough to not get bored
The only thing I would want to change is to have slightly faster games. Currently to win a game takes on average about 15 mins, if this was reduced by even 5 mins would make this totally perfect!
My advice would be to give this game a go and try not to get hooked

Needs some work

Graphics are ok , designs look good and overall gameplay is decent. It looks simple but it has a hidden complexity with strategy. My major problem is the game is skewed into pay to win. The rift is really hard to complete within the given time frame and the rescorces you gain to able to fight battles. The shop prices are expensive most the time and not worth the effort and you need to completely ignore the % value prices because they have no rhyme or reason to the %s given half the time. The maths doesn’t add up. Auto isn’t really helpful atm , I know they’re working on it but it’s not worth paying for atm and I did all weekly and daily tasks and didn’t get half way done for the chess pass, so that’s frustrating. The events are also highly skewed towards new players (level up quests) which gets harder to do as your levels get higher. You shouldn’t need to pump £100 into the game a month to complete game rewards. You should be able to get all the rewards from hard work and playing. You’ll get more money from better value because more people will consider it a good investment. Other than the pay to win side , the game is fun and engaging and worth playing. If your a new player , now is a good time to get started as a recent update has introduced new rewards and chests which as an older player , we’re too late to get

Cash is king

I genuinely loved this game as a wind down after work but recently they have pushed some questionable updates that force players to spend more and more money. Sadly this is just killing the fun of the game. Before you were already spending gold to level up heroes, were sometimes needing to fork out money to level up your different characters as well as gear, on top of this there are several different chess pass like purchases if you want decent rewards. Now on top of this they have changed the crafting system to yet again exploit players into spending money. Quite frankly as someone who’s spent money on a chess pass and then had this introduced half way through I think it’s disgusting. I got the pass for the gear and now I can’t level up my gear without needing to spend money. Really bad choice that yet again goes against the players best interest. Safe to say once my chess pass runs out I won’t be renewing. I just don’t trust the developers anymore. Good developers know you don’t change mechanics like that while passes are active and on such short notice. Very very poor
