Author 4+

I do find myself opening up Author, more and more, as second-nature now. The way I can map concepts and plug-and-play my articles according to those concepts (once i've made sure they connect and flow tight) is the number one reason I come back to this app.

I often get too impressed with my ideas and, as a result, struggle to deliver the impact and the message I want to get across. That's become less of a problem with Author.

My only 5-star want would be that the app handles images a little more intuitively. It's fundamentally a writing app so I understand image-handling is not a priority.

Beautifully designed, its edit mode is extremely comfortable for long work sessions in Light or Dark Mode. Uncluttered, it still has plenty of powerful features.
Notable among these are its extensive facilities for citations, which can be used for captioning images as well. These are delivered with simplicity, not a mass of complex controls and tools.
Export now supports most formats such as Word .docx, Rich Text (RTFD), and PDF. The latest addition is to export direct to WordPress blog, which is excellent - alone this makes Liquid | Author one of the best tools for anyone writing a blog. With one source exporting reliably to all these different formats and media, Liquid | Author should be high on the list of anyone who crafts words, whether writing their thesis, running a blog, or making their living.

Author is perfect for writers who want to use a simple, well designed and efficient word processor. The clean layout offers an easy to navigate app that is ideal for aiding writers in keeping their work organised and structured. This app allowed me to concentrate on the content I was writing, as the tools and features made the formatting side really clear and simple. The reference and citations tools help me keep track of my work while the ease of adding headings and changing text has made me work more efficiently.

This app has been extremely beneficial to me and made my writing better as I can spend more time focusing on what I am writing, rather than formatting (which Author has made so simple). This app is so valuable for writers in every area and is a must buy.
