REQUIREMENTS:
Requires newer iPads for best performance. May be slow on iPad 4.
IAA is being deprecated by Apple in iOS 13. We're moving to AUv3 as well. Please replace IAA with AUv3 in your projects.
GarageBand Audio Unit (AUv3):
You can run one instance of D1 as an AUv3 in GarageBand. With a host like AUM, you can run 3 or more instances at once.
TROUBLESHOOTING:
For iPad 4 - Open the "Settings" button (to the upper left above the keyboard). Turn the buffer to 512 or above. And turn the "CPU Efficient" toggle to on. If still having trouble, try closing other music apps and/or rebooting your iPad. Thanks!

Ratings and Reviews
I’ve got a lot of soft synths
So do I really, I mean do I really need another one, I’ve not delved deeply into many of mine and it does seem that they are all quite similar I mean how many synths do you need right? Hmmmm, well, let me tell you sunshine, if your like me, and you love synths, pads and stonking tones to inspire and enhance your ideas then well I think your one synth short.. I bought this thinking I don’t need this, And thought whhhhhyyyy as I pressed the buy it button, I’ve just had a fiddle, with my synth! Jeeeeeze some people!! Honestly, anyways it’s what I’ve been searching for. For me I’m about layers of my piano on stage, I need thickening sounds to compliment my playing, I can tweak this easily and the presets are a work of art themselves, sadly I’ve not been given a free version for this review, but I never write reviews so why would anyone.. but I am writing one now because actually they deserve it and your probably thinking the same as I did. Do I really need this synth, yes you do, and you won’t need another one. thanks guys.
Impressive
I’ve bought a whole heap of soft synths over the years so I’m very picky about purchasing new ones, but as I already own Audiokits DX synth and their excellent synth one synthesisers, I took the chance and bought this, and mighty glad I did too as it’s up to their usual quality. Intuitive, responsive and most importantly it sounds glorious. Very reasonable price too.
Lots of presets to play with and a good selection of FX and filters to bash em about with, you can milk some really ethereal (or raunchy if that’s your choice), sounds out of this excellent synth.
One thing worth mentioning is that you need a good late model iPad to get the best from it, no issues at all on my iPad Pro, but wont download on my (very long in the tooth) iPad mini, ( needs IOS 10.3 or above), and is a bit ‘glitchy’ let’s say, on my iPad 2. That’s the case with a lot of the better synths I own though, more than 2 or 3 notes playing at the same time and the sound breaks up.
Another classic from team Audiokit
This one takes a different approach to the normal analog emulations and goes back in time to when digital synths started appearing and captures the character very well, specifically in regard to the early Roland machines. As with all the Audiokit synths it sounds fantastic, they really know what they are doing and you can appreciate the care and attention that has gone into this. With the addition of presets by some of the best sound designers on iOS and the first class support from the team it is highly recommended.
Edit: wow 😮 so many updates already and lots of fixes and improvements. This is now my favourite synth on iOS. It sounds so **** good. Some of these patches are a track in themselves and sound so polished that they good easily be used in a film score.
