Ratings and Reviews
Very good!
Good use of visuals, especially the animations to reinforce the text. Would be nice to have more detail behind he various theories and a method of simplifying some of the mathematic equations. But really enjoyed it.
Astrophysics 1
As impressive as this might appear at first glance, on further examination it leaves a bit to be desired. For example:
1. I'm not sure who this is aimed at. It's obviously too simple for Astrophysicists but it's way beyond the average knowledge of the layman with its numerous lists of highly complex formulæ, although the animations are quite useful.
2. More worryingly, there are numerous typing and spelling errors and even contradictions in the spelling of the same word. Now, if errors like this have slipped into the text, what price the accuracy of the formulæ, assuming you can understand them anyway?
3. Lastly, I noticed that the author quoted Wikipedia as one of his references, but I didn't expect him/her to lift entire paragraphs and copy them verbatim. The givaway was the inclusion of the standard Wiki term [citation needed].
I hope this is useful. I know it's only £2 or so but it's no good if the facts cannot be relied upon.
