No variety
It’s cool if you have an album they actually have (for example, Nevermind by Nirvana), but the variety is shocking. I wasn’t even expecting some of my more niche albums and it’s understandable, but really popular and well know albums I tried (Igor, After Hours, A Night at the Opera, just to name a few) didn’t come up. It’s got good potential but they don’t even have some really well known and popular albums and for an app that’s supposed to make albums come to life it’s a bit subpar when you don’t even have the ones that people are likely to own.
very few actually work
i own several very famous classic albums (e.g sgt pepper, dark side of the moon, a night at the opera) on vinyl & was surprised to see none of them had animations. the only one that did was Aladdin Sane by David Bowie.
the app is great when it actually works but more often than not it just doesn’t.
Would be great if it worked
This only worked on 3 of my vinyls: Born to die, Nevermind and Rumours, and my music taste is pretty mainstream. Didn’t even work on any of my ABBA Vinyls.
This has potential but at the moment there aren’t enough animations, only good really if you want to watch the rumours art on repeat.
