AppBlock Website & App Blocker 4+

A message now comes up to warn you that you can only block for 4hrs at a time. This didn’t used to be the case (but the reminder is handy).
The paid version lets you block more apps and for longer (it used to be you could block two apps for as long as you wish which was better).
One ongoing glitch is that you can stop the block but the app is still greyed out and you need to restart and stop again to get it to work. Doesn’t always happen.
It’s a good app when you need quiet time away from an app but the increased restricted use on the free version is annoying.

My partner struggles with addiction and self control when it comes to Uber Eats and ordering food/drinks on the apps. It’s really effected his wallet so he downloaded this hoping it would help him take away the temptation.
He paid for the full version and it was working great. Intentions were to fully block the apps permanently for the duration of one year, to which he even let me decide the passcode so he couldn’t take it off strict mode himself. Temptation got the better of him and he tried to get back on the apps he blocked, all it took was him deleting the app blocker app to undo the other blocked apps and he could get back on them.
He is extremely disappointed and although it was working great initially, it still didn’t stop him getting into the apps when he really wanted to. Is there a way he can make it so he can’t bypass it simply by deleting the app?
He tried to redownload the app and it was trying to recharge him for the full version again even though he has already paid for it for the year. In settings it did acknowledge he still had a subscription but it didn’t seem to register on the app itself.
Overall it was working great til it wasn’t, maybe this app is more for the self controlled but would be great to have it so that the app can’t be uninstalled or have something that keeps the apps blocked despite uninstalling.

Hi! I'm sorry to hear that you are not satisfied with AppBlock. I believe both issues you mentioned in the review have solution.:) As long as you are using the same Apple ID, you should be able to get your subscription back. Simply go to AppBlock > More > Restore purchase. After tapping on that AppBlock should recognize your premium. To not be able to uninstall AppBlock and therefore bypass the blocks, please go to Strict Mode and turn on the "disable app uninstalling" option. I hope this helps! - Simona

There are so many settings and options to block apps and stop procrastination.

Set it up properly with the amazing feature of blocking iOS screen time so you can’t delete the app, and you will never scroll through social media again. Premium is worth every penny to get productive again.

Note to developers: I’ve found that when my phone runs out of charge or is powered off, turning it back on, there is a delay before the app starts running. During that delay you can switch off the app’s permissions on screen time even though you have blocked it. Most features don’t work during that short time which defeats everything.
